Hello Ononauts, here is my second weekly report! This one should be a little shorter and more bearable to read 🙂
The workload this week was fairly typical, there were some activities in telegram, some tech support and working with devs to help people having account difficulties. Things have been fairly quiet on the abuse front this week as well. I think the algorithms for recognizing bots are getting better as I haven’t seen anything too suspicious since this one popped up last week:
Some users have been warned about plagiarism and spam posting as well.
With the loss of some super partners we have just voted in Jean Marteau who has been a very positive addition. We have to more spaces open currently, if you are interested in applying please let us know in telegram and we can guide you through the process!
There was a minor update for the app this week which unfortunately redirected many users to QQ website and also installed a browser. This is more geared towards Chinese users so we are recommending you wait to update until this problem is rectified! If you are in a rush you can uninstall and reinstall directly from app stores.
Plagiarism and spamming remain the biggest problems on the ONO platform at this moment. With the inability to reverse image search we mostly have to guess. We are looking for ways to help encourage original content with the limited tools we have right now. We have a few ideas, if you have suggestions on this let me know in the comments. The app is working quite well but some problems seem to persist for certain users, we will continue giving feedback to the devs so hopefully these will be resolved ASAP. We continue to work on governance issues within our DAC to better streamline decision making. Thats about all for this week, as always questions and comments are welcome 🙂
